The writing of this book is inspired by many considerations. The most important factor is the newness of Citizen Diplomacy as a foreign policy thrust and its misunderstanding. The problem is not that Citizen Diplomacy, as a concept, is new but that its new interpretation in Nigeria is not understood in its appropriate context
