The Disinherited: Journal of a Palestinian exile
This book is the personal account of Fawaz Turki, a Palestinian intellectual living in exile. Through a reflective and powerful writing style, Turki describes his refugee experience, his search for identity, and the emotional and political struggles faced by the Palestinian people. This account presents not only a biography but also a social critique and analysis of the Palestinian–Israeli conflict, colonialism, and the conditions of the diaspora. This edition includes a 1974 epilogue that updates Turki's perspective on political developments in the Middle East. This book is considered a seminal work in Palestinian literature and the study of identity and the experience of exile.
