Religion and the world
This work by the influential contemporary Islamic thinker, Ayatullah Morteza Motahhari (1920–1979), addresses the crucial and often contested relationship between Islam and the modern world. Motahhari seeks to articulate a dynamic, comprehensive, and rational understanding of religion, particularly Islam, as a force for both spiritual and societal progress, effectively countering the dual challenges of materialism (including ideologies like Marxism) and secularism.
