The battle for Pakistan
The Battle for Pakistan is a historic odyssey of the titanic struggle for the creation of Pakistan covering all significant events concisely from the Battle of Plassey in 1757 till the birth of Pakistan in 1947. It maintains that the partition of India was the result of a short-sighted, unaccommodating, uncharitable attitude and the wrong tactical moves in the policy of the Congress towards the Muslim League and Mr. Jinnah. The Congress failed to realize the grim reality that in India the only peaceful way to exist was to co-exist. It also explains in detail how the British made a mess of partition and left the subcontinent in haste with a legacy of bloodshed and bitterness to be shared between India and Pakistan over the disputed territory of Jammu and Kashmir. It is a sombre commentary that for the last five decades the Pakistani nation has been trying to navigate through hazardous waters with a wrong map and incompetent navigators at the helm, excepting a few, who blame the stars when the nation fails to reach its destination.
