An introduction to air law
For several years there had been a growing need for a concise survey of air law, in a format which could give readers a basic insight in this important sector of inter- national law without going deeply into all the issues involved. The 'Introduction to Air Law' was designed to fill the gap. It concentrates on the major international Coventions supporting the air law structure, but also brings into focus the latest developments and the ensuing legal implications. Much prominence has been given to case law and trends in jurisprudence, both matters of great practical inte- rest. The present edition is an updated and partially revised version of the previous editions in English. Its main purpose is to provide orientation and practical gui- dance: every effort has been made to keep abreast of current developments. The author's success in achieving her objectives has been most aptly described by the Revue Française de Droit Aérien et Spatial (1992): 'By analysing the successive international Conventions and the principal national laws, as well as referring to the existing great number of cases in air law, this Introduction (which is actually a real textbook) gives a complete panorama of the Air Law of today
