Refining the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia’s visual identity: Ideas for improvement
One of the core businesses of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia is communicating various messages on Indonesia’s diplomacy and foreign policy to the global audience as well as domestic constituents. This communication takes the form of physical/printed and digital products, which requires a consistent visual presence in order to project authority and credibility. This paper finds that the Ministry’s visual communication today is not yet supported with a consistent visual representation.
This paper discusses the importance of a strong and consistent visual identity for the Ministry and how such identity plays a role in establishing the Ministry’s posture and authority in delivering messages related to diplomacy and foreign policy. This paper concludes with policy options for refinement in order to stay relevant in the rapidly changing environment.
