Efforts to shorten the communication gap between Indonesian citizens and Indonesian Missions in Saudi Arabia by optimizing social media
Since 2015, the Government of Indonesia has implemented a moratorium on sending Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI) to Middle Eastern countries. This was done because of the high number of PMI problems in the Middle East. However, sending PMIs to the Middle East continues using various methods, including non-procedural methods.
Sending PMI with non-procedural methods causes PMI to be vulnerable to problems. PMIs who were dispatched un-procedurally also did not have sufficient provisions on the procedures for reporting problems to the Government of Indonesia. This can cause new problems, namely that their problems are not heard by the Indonesian government so that their problems are not handled.
