Re-leveraging Indonesian cacao (a case study on organic cacao export to Canada)
This paper explores the potential for re-leveraging Indonesian cocoa exports to Canada, specifically through promoting and exporting organic cocoa. The Indonesian cocoa industry has long been a significant contributor to the country's economy, but it is facing increased competition in the worldwide market. This paper then examines the advantages of organic cocoa as well as the potential it provides for Indonesian cocoa farmers and exporters, notably in the Canadian market.
The research presented in this paper is based on an examination of the increasing demand for organic cocoa products in Canada, which is being driven by a growing consumer desire for sustainable and ethically sourced items. It emphasizes the need of Indonesian cocoa growers adapting to this changing market by emphasizing ecologically responsible production.
Furthermore, this paper discusses the potential challenges and hurdles that Indonesian cocoa producers may encounter. It also emphasizes the importance of partnerships and collaborations between Indonesian cocoa stakeholders and Canadian importers to streamline the export process. A highlight in this paper is posed on how diplomatic approaches could be maximized and how Indonesian MOFA and Indonesian Missions in Canada could play an instrumental parts on how to re-leverage Indonesian cacao export to Canada.
