Indonesia’s economic diplomacy: Enhancing mission indexation

Diverse issues faced by the missions have to be addressed effectively and efficiently, to reach the optimum goals for economic diplomacy. All aspects of organization need to be addressed to achieve organizational best outcome. An organization would not achieve its goal effectively and efficiently if they focused only on one of the issues. This paper would try to assist the enhancement of Indonesian economic diplomacy strategy, from the planning and organizing factors since the issues might lie within the plan and objective of the economic diplomacy in the missions, to strengthen Indonesian economic diplomacy efforts. This essay proposes an updated indexation’s formula of Indonesian Missions in economic factor using weighted average.

Adjustment and some additional indicators for the mission indexation is necessary. Comprehensive updates should be regular to address the current situations and determine whether the mission's indexation is relevant with the national priorities and the allocated resources have to be in line to reach the interest. This will help Indonesia to reach the best possible outcome in economic diplomacy.
