Promoting Creative Economy Of Indonesia For Inclusive Development And Global Recovery
The creative economy is one of the most dynamic sectors of the global economy, offering opportunities for product and export diversification, the development of competitive advantages, and increased investment. Combining commercial and cultural values, the sector can also contribute to global economic recovery, particularly in addressing the multidimensional impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. This paper examines Indonesia’s efforts to develop the creative economy as an integral part of its national growth and development strategy, particularly through the momentum of the International Year of Creative Economy for Sustainable Development 2021. Using scenario planning, it analyzes the policies and strategies implemented by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia to support relevant stakeholders in promoting the creative economy internationally. The study explores possible future scenarios and formulates policy options and recommendations for the Indonesian Government to strengthen creative economy diplomacy, address emerging challenges, and build a more resilient creative sector amid the pandemic.
