Strengthening the role of the MOFA in the Indonesia-China Bilateral Relations through a regular scorecard meeting
Indonesia has strong cooperation with China as its largest trading partner and a major foreign investor, strengthened through the Indonesia-China Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and its Plan of Action (PoA). However, the partnership faces challenges due to the lack of an effective monitoring and evaluation system for bilateral programs and projects. This paper proposes the use of a scorecard mechanism supported by regular meetings with domestic stakeholders and Chinese counterparts to monitor cooperation progress systematically. The mechanism is expected to improve transparency and accountability, identify challenges and best practices, and support more effective implementation of Indonesia-China bilateral cooperation.
